The Institute of Philosophy of the Research Center for the Humanities of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences is organizing a conference on the 8th and 9th of May 2014, entitled "Is a Universal Morality Possible?". We welcome proposals for talks from those interested in the topic broadly understood (from the fields of philosophy, religious studies, history, law etc.).

Tamás Demeter is giving a talk on 15th January at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Bucharest entitled "Post-Newtonian Moral Philosophy in Enlightenment Scotland: The Flight from Mathematics in the Human Sciences". He will also take part in the conference organized by the faculty on 16-17th January ("Mechanism, Mathematics and Experiment: Early Modern Intersections") with his talk: "Hume on the Limits and Prospects of Natural Philosophy".
